Volunteer!

Come volunteer at our homeless shelter!  We serve dinner to 25-40 people every night from 5:30-6:30.  If you want to help prepare the meal, arrive around 4:30.  You don't have to call, you can just show up.  Our shelter is located at 518 S. Guadalupe St, behind the main offices.  If your group or church would like to cater and bring in a meal, please call the shelter managers, Dean and Alex, to be put on the schedule.  The shelter's phone number is 512-392-6697.

Donations

The shelter is always in need of donations.  Over the last year, our shelter has experienced an increase in number of clients we serve, therefore increasing our food bill.  We accept and appreciate all kinds of food donations- you donate it, we'll use it! 

Another need of the shelter is toiletries.  We are always in need of soap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner for our showers.  We also give away "hygiene packs" to our clients that include a personal sized soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, razor, deoderant, comb, socks, and whatever else has been dontated. These packs are one of the things that our clients are most grateful for, as most of them do not have the means to purchase them on their own.  We are constantly running out of these things, so every little bit helps!
