Mr. Garza has been Executive Director for over 28 years. During his tenure Southside has grown, and now has a retirement center. The center provides affordable housing for seniors, and services such as a free meal once a week, van service to doctors, and grocery stores. He was also instrument in building over 267 more units of affordable housing. He oversees the Homeless shelter, affordable housing endeavors, Thrift Store and operation for Southside Community Center, and the Youth Service Program which provides after school activities for young students who need help.
Trey is a Texas State University graduate that has worked with Southside Community Center for over 3 years. He has a passion for helping others and looks to improve the community in any way possible.
Andrew is a current student studying business at Texas State University. Andy works to keep Southside Community Centers finances looking sharp and helps contribute towards the overall success of all of our programs.
Kimberley Williams is a ball of energy, as soon as you walk into Southside you will be greeted by her bubbly personality. She is responsible for accepting and reviewing all applications for specific assistance before submitting them to our Executive Director. She is also responsible for answering all calls and directing them to the correct staff member to ensure that the greatest customer service is provided. When you call the Southside line ask for Kim and she will make sure you are taken care of.
Carol is our Thrift Store manager; she is a hard working individual with a passion for sales. She is responsible for all sales and inventory at the thrift store. She also monitors and reports all community service and volunteer hours at the thrift store. If you are in need of a clothing voucher feel free to ask for Carol at the Thrift store.
