Hot Weather Shelter
The Southside Community Cooling Center opens when temperatures are forecast of 100°+ for three or more consecutive hours.
Water and snacks will be available with a free community meal served every day at 4pm. Additionally, people are welcome to visit the San Marcos Public Library and San Marcos Activity Center to stay cool.
How to Help
Southside needs volunteers to help with meals, financial donations, and in-kind donations to help as we host our neighbors. Please contact our office to volunteer during shelter hours or to arrange drop off of in kind donations.
