Southside Community Center has several housing programs: Sunrise Village, our transitional housing program, housing assistance, and our rapid rehousing program. Complete the form for assistance or explore these options below.
Transitional Shelter
Our on-site shelter features four double-occupancy and two family bedrooms as well as shared community bathrooms, a welcoming living room, laundry facilities, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a dining area. Residents will also have access to the internet.
When a room becomes available, we carefully review applications to identify candidates who are the best fit for our program. Upon acceptance, clients must undergo a drug and alcohol screening. They will also sign a 30-day contract, which is subject to renewal based on their compliance with our staff’s guidance and adherence to the shelter’s rules.
Sunrise Village
Sunrise Village is an affordable senior living community in San Marcos, offering the comfort of a home with the convenience of apartment living. All units are single-story and designed to support independent living. Sunrise fosters a true sense of community with regular outings, potlucks, engaging activities, and ongoing support for its residents.

Rapid Rehousing
Our rapid rehousing program aims to quickly place individuals and families in long-term, stable housing. This is coupled with wraparound case management services to address the root causes of homelessness and stabilize the individual or family over the course of many months.
